Why does soy wax have imperfections?

Many people tend to wonder why, after burning their candle and extinguishing the flame, the candle has a "crater look" when it solidifies. Soy wax, if 100% soy, will have imperfections. This proves the candle is natural and contains NO additives. Remember, our candles contain no chemicals, dyes, or carcinogens. Pure soy will be somewhat rough and cratered when it resets after a burn. The natural look of the candle will not affect the quality and burn of the candle. In addition, I always remind customers to keep their wick trimmed down to 1/4" because cotton wicks can mushroom a bit after burning. I like to let my candles cool down and then, most of the time once the candle is solid again, I just knock off the mushroom at the top of the cotton wick and shake it out.

All natural, soy candles are safer for our children and our pets. A perfect colorful candle may look beautiful but that also means burning dyes and chemicals in your home.
